Birds
The Houston Audubon Society surveys birds at the CC monthly and submits the data to eBird. View a that they have observed (over 150 total).
Plant Species
The CC herbarium, located in the laboratory building, has most of the common plant species found at the site. The collection has been digitized, allowing all the specimens to be viewed online in a searchable database. Go to , click on 鈥淪earch鈥, then 鈥淪earch Collections.鈥 De-select all the herbaria except for the 91破解版 Coastal Center, and search for any species or genus that鈥檚 of interest to you. To get a complete species list for the CC, enter 鈥淯SA鈥 in country and leave the other search terms blank.
iNaturalist Species
There is an iNaturalist 鈥減roject鈥 for the 91破解版 Coastal Center with over 500 species observed at the site (). You can use the search tool or the 鈥渇ilters鈥 tab to narrow the observations to particular taxa.
Soil Subsidence Data Set
The CC GPS network is primarily designed for monitoring land subsidence, which is widespread within the greater Houston area. A detailed introduction to the CC GPS network and preliminary research results is available in a . The CC GPS network is also part of the broader Houston GPS network (HoustonNet) for . Raw GPS data are archived at , and processed displacement time series can be requested by contacting gwang@uh.edu.
