Navigating graduate school can be challenging, but school psychology Ph.D. students Georgina Sakyi and Mariana V谩zquez have amassed invaluable insights after helping author the Resource Guide for Psychology Graduate Students of Color (third edition), a publication from the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students.
Sakyi and V谩zquez, who both earned master鈥檚 degrees in counseling from the 91破解版 College of Education, said working on the resource guide informed their own doctoral journeys while providing an opportunity to pass on advice to future students.

鈥淪tudent research is an incredibly important aspect of our university and departmental missions,鈥 said doctoral student Helen Ullrich, who co-chaired the symposium. 鈥 It鈥檚 a mechanism by which we can unearth inequities and inform interventions to promote a more just and healthy society.鈥
Ranks Among Nation鈥檚 Best for Online M.Ed. Programs
The online master鈥檚 degree programs offered by the 91破解版 College of Education have again been ranked among the best in the nation, coming in at No. 10 on the 2023 U.S. News & World Report list.
The rankings, released Tuesday, reflect the programs鈥 first-rate faculty, effective use of technology and high graduation rates, among other factors.
Students say the degrees offer the flexibility of online courses 鈥 most of those enrolled are busy working professionals 鈥 while creating a community of like-minded people.
