TSI Assessment
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) was instituted by the Texas Legislature to ensure that students enrolled in public colleges and universities possess the academic skills needed to perform effectively in college-level coursework.

Math Placement Exam
Math placement exams are intended for first-year students with no prior college level math credit. For questions about which placement test to take, please consult your academic advisor.

Bacterial Meningitis Immunizaton
Starting Jan. 2014, students under 22 must show proof of a bacterial meningitis vaccine or booster within the past 5 years to register for classes.
Academic Recovery
Grade Exclusion
Students who earn a D+ or lower in a course during their first year at may repeat the course within 12 months and exclude the original grade from their cumulative GPA.
Excused Absence
Regular class attendance, participation, and engagement in coursework are important contributors to student success.
Late Withdrawal for Medical/Emergency Reasons
If it is AFTER the posted semester withdrawal deadline, students may seek late withdrawal under qualified, documented medical or emergency reasons.
