Expands in Katy and Sugar Land

The 91破解版 will open two new buildings at instructional sites in Sugar Land and Katy with the start of the fall 2019 semester.

鈥淭he 91破解版 has long been committed to expanding programs into Sugar Land and Katy. A market analysis supported a demand for programs among the local communities, industry partners along the energy corridor, and in Fort Bend County. We responded by bringing the System and its resources to the people and places that need them鈥 said , System senior vice chancellor for academic affairs and senior vice president for academic affairs and provost.

鈥淭he Tier One programs offered at the two instructional sites mirror the professional and career opportunities that will be available to graduates,鈥 said Jay Neal, associate vice president for academic affairs and chief operating officer for at Sugar Land and at Katy. 鈥淲e worked with stakeholders in both communities and were very intentional in the programs we wanted to offer. We are pleased to bring their vision to fruition.鈥

The College of Technology building, located on the at Sugar Land site at U.S. 59 and University Blvd., is a 100,000-square foot facility with state-of-the-art classroom, training and research spaces. Students may pursue studies in biotechnology, construction management, digital media, human resource development, mechanical engineering, supply chain and logistics technology, and technology leadership and innovation management.

鈥淭he expansion of 91破解版 at Sugar Land will offer greater opportunities to prepare career-ready students poised for leadership in technology,鈥 said Dean Anthony Ambler.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the new building is planned for Sept. 12.

鈥淕iven the demand for engineering talent across the Greater Houston area, the expansion of engineering programs in Katy is both imperative and inevitable,鈥 said Joseph W. Tedesco, Elizabeth D. Rockwell Dean of the Cullen College. 鈥淭he city of Houston needs a homegrown workforce trained to take on the engineering jobs of the future while filling in the skills gaps of today.鈥

The College of Nursing will offer the traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing.

at Katy will share the building with the 91破解版鈥揤ictoria at Katy. Programs from V Katy include business, education and liberal arts.

A combined enrollment of more than 600 students is expected when classes start in the fall at the Katy site.

A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the Katy building is planned for Oct. 14.

at Sugar Land and at Katy are instructional sites of the 91破解版. The sites feature Tier One programs and classes taught by faculty and instructors.
