We are excited to welcome you back to a campus that's evolving for the future. With construction underway and new transportation features in place, a little planning will go a long way in helping you arrive smoothly and get to class on time.
Here is what you need to know to make your arrival seamless:
Know Your Assigned Parking Area Before You Arrive
Before heading to campus, confirm your assigned parking area and its location. This helps you plan your route and avoid delays. If you park in a gated lot or garage, have your parking credentials ready for entry. Need to confirm the required parking credential for your lot or garage? Please visit the Parking and Transportation website.
New Gate Technology Is Here
All campus parking gates have been upgraded for improved efficiency and reliability. Watch for messages from Parking and Transportation with instructions on how to use the new systems.
Arrive Early—Especially During the First Week
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your posted class time during the first week of the semester. This extra time allows for parking, shuttle travel, and walking to your destination while adjusting to any changes.
Practice Makes Perfect
If possible, visit campus the week before classes begin. Park in your assigned zone area, locate your shuttle stop, and walk to your class buildings. This practice can reduce first-day stress and boost your confidence.
Download the Go Mobile App
Your one-stop resource for campus mobility:
- Track shuttles in real time
- Request a ride through Cougar Ride
- Access your digital Cougar Card before the fall semester start
Shuttles Keep You Moving
Our campus shuttles run frequently and connect major parking areas to academic buildings. Use the Go app to plan your ride and minimize wait times.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Protocol
For safety and convenience, follow these guidelines:
- Use the ride share pick up and drop off adjacent to 21C paid visitor lot – Designated short-term waiting area for passenger pick-up and drop-off.
- Do Not Stop on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard – Stopping is prohibited.
