Here are some facts and figures regarding our current Wi-Fi infrastructure:
- 6,619 Wi-Fi access points (APs) and growing (in 2012 had 1,600 APs)
- Wi-Fi available in all classrooms and residential buildings (100% coverage and capacity)
- Latest Gigabit Wi-Fi technologies (802.11ax) along with Wi-Fi 6e access points deployed in high density locations and classrooms
- Three ways to access Wi-Fi services:
- Secure (CougarNet authentication required)
- Guest (open network, internet access only, no access to local resources)
- Eduroam (CougarNet authentication required)
