If you have just been placed on Academic Suspension, along with any information your college has sent you regarding college-specific suspension processes, so you can follow an informed path for your return.

If you have been away from  for longer than 13 months, or you were placed on Academic Suspension, you will need to reapply to  as a former student.

  • Depending on your academic standing, you may not be eligible to reapply to all majors. See the for major readmission criteria to understand your options.
  • Use the  GPA calculator to review your GPA trajectory to ensure you clearly understand the hours and grades it will take you to reach good standing (2.0) or the GPA required for your desired major, if applicable. 
  • You may choose to reapply to Exploratory Studies in order to work toward a later major change to another major. Readmission into Exploratory Studies is automatic for all former students. The timeline to prepare to change majors will depend on your academic profile and major goals. Your options to change majors, either back to your previous major or to any other major with additional admissions requirements, will be limited based on the number of hours you have completed, the specific course grades you have earned, and your  cumulative GPA. It may not be possible to change to certain majors.
